He saw a labyrinth of confusion and missteps which had dictated his current perspective of the Trees

She did not need protection, she only knew the Trees
In frustration, he threw her into the forest. Covered her with the decay of nature. Forced her to taste beyond the Trees
She brushed away his anger and looked up at the Trees.
